PASSION and PURPOSE come in all flavors at CCE:

TRAINING

CCE is proud to have a group of exeptional Teaching Artists on staff that are not only experts in their artistic field, but are cross-trained in many other art areas. Each has participated in workshops that involve Multiple Intelligences, Bloom's Taxonomy, Florida Sunshine State Standards, developing Lesson Plans and Time Management.

EXPERTISE

Our professional artists build meaningful relationships with each student, helping them see a broader palette of life choices.  They challenge them to express their academic knowledge through group and individual projects, creating connections between classroom learning and real-life application of that knowledge.

SUCCESS

The key to successful arts integration lies in the understanding between the classroom teacher and the CCE Teaching Artist who works with that teacher's students.  Art integration applies specific arts-related activities to teaching practices that support curriculum objectives.  Each CCE Teaching Artist brings his/her own background, knowledge and experience to foster a collaborative working process with the teacher.

Some teachers might be a little hesitant at first to opening their classrooms and their teaching methods to an outside collaborator. However, CCE Teaching Artists are especially flexible and willing to try new ways of working.  They understand the benefits that arts integration programs such as Project LEAP and CADRE bring to their students and are willing to go the extra mile to help make it work.

QUALITY ASSESSMENT

CCE has been a vital part of the Palm Beach County Quality Assessment Program for the past several years.

Their Summary Report which rates an organization based on site visits and evaluating Teaching Artists showed improvement from 2010 - 2011.

Based on a total possible score of 5.0, CCE rated a 4.11 in 2010 and a 4.48 in 2011.
