In-House Programming Activities
When construction is complete in Fall 2009, CCE will be able
to offer significant programming in the new facility.
...On -Site Programming is divided in three categories:
1 Youth Arts and Educational Programs
- Audition and Portfolio Preparation – Many children in the local neighborhood do not have the advantage of private music, art and dance classes in preparation for auditions for local arts middle and high schools. Through CCE’s interaction with local schools, students with an interest in these areas will have the opportunity to receive the appropriate instruction to be able to successfully audition or prepare a portfolio. Collaboration with the faculties of the middle and high school of the arts will be a major part of the creation of this program.
- Art Workshops – CCE artists will provide workshops in various media on weekends for children and familes in the local neighborhood.
- Art and Dance Classes – Ongoing classes for local students will be offered in various art forms and dance.
- The CCE Youth Choir – A Youth Choir, under the direction of CCE staff and other local choral teachers, will offer children the chance to work collaboratively in a group with the goal being at least two performances per year.
2 Artist and Teacher Training
The Center will serve as a place where ongoing artist trainings can be held. Through our partnership with the Palm Beach County School District, The Center will be the site of trainings offered by both CCE and the District.
3 Community Arts and Entertainment
The Center will have the capacity to become the cultural hub of the entire Northwood area.
The Theatre will have the capability of housing small theatrical productions, small orchestral and instrumental performances, small choral concerts, piano and organ recitals, smaller dance productions and movies as well as lectures, workshops, town meetings and banquets.
Local arts groups will be able to use the theatre as rehearsal space.
The Dance Studio will be able to welcome small dance recitals, lectures and workshops as well as dance, Yoga, Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu and exercise classes.
The gallery space will house student and local artist exhibitions.
